Fiona is a practised and focused dispute resolver, with over 30 years of experience in Family Law. She deals with the full range of Family Law issues from cohabitation, prenuptial and post nuptial agreements to resolving claims under 1975 Act and everything in between relation to the end of relationships.
This includes all manner of financial disputes and issues related to children including where a parent wants a child to move abroad or recovering them if they’ve been taken without consent.
Fiona always tries to take a constructive approach to resolving issues but will take a robust stance where necessary.
Fiona is recognised as a Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners (2024 edition).

Divorce Court Order Financial Disclosure
Fiona has helped parties resolve issues on finances when their relationship comes to an end. She has experience of dealing with high and medium value asset bases including matters involving trusts, businesses and pensions.
Recent Work
Fiona was involved in the following reported cases:
- JB v MB 2015 EWHC 1846 which dealt with the unequal sharing of assets where a business was developed after the parties separated.
- WL v HL 2021 EWHC where the judge actively managed the case including encouraging the parties to mediate and resolve issues.
Arrangements for Children
Fiona had previously helped my clients resolve issues relating to their children following a separation. She believes the best way to resolve such disputes is to use mediation, as an effective way to do that and works closely with experienced mediators as needed. Fiona also helps in dealing with situations where one parent wants to move abroad with the children.
Recent Work
Fiona has acted for a father and his parents to successfully oppose an application to take a child to live on in France.
Fertility Law & Donor Conception
Fiona has helped advise with regards to Fertility Law and taking the necessary steps to obtain parental rights orders.

Fiona acted for a family to secure a parental order following errors made by the fertility clinic.
Wills, Trusts & Probate Disputes
Fiona has acted for clients in cases brought under the Inheritance (provision for family and dependents) Act 1975 and on disputes in relation to family trusts.
Recent Work
Fiona acted for the widow of a wealthy businessman who had set up trusts which did not fairly make provision for her on his death. After mediation matters were resolved in a way which did make proper financial provision for her client and the minor children.
