Google Ads & Bing Ads
Google Ads and Bing Ads (and equivalents) can be used to instantly enable your website to appear above others. This is a quick (but permanently expensive) fix, as opposed to search engine optimisation and is essentially an auction whereby the entity willing to pay the most for a particular word/combination of words places higher in the “sponsored” section of a web search (typically above the “natural search” results).
It also provides very clear detail around the return on investment.
Using Google Ads / Bing Ads can be incredibly effective, but this relies on forming an effective strategy so as to ensure you only bid on the best:
- Word or combination
- Time of day
- Geography
- Demographic
There may need to be an element of trial and error in developing an effective strategy. You may well wish to contract with third parties to support your Google Ads / Bing Ads campaign.
Care is needed to ensure your strategy is permissible and to ensure that you have strong contracts with third parties.
We have worked with many clients developing such strategies with third party consultants and equally have supported the sale of businesses where such strategies are considered an important element of the valuable intellectual property being sold.

We have supported a huge number of clients with their IT services contracts, including those around optimising Google Ads, Bing Ads and SEO.
Use of trade marks or signs of others →
Businesses sometimes bid on a competitor’s name or brands in Google Ads or Bing Ads, which may infringe intellectual property rights.
