About Sofia

Sofia qualified in March 2024 and joined the firm’s Oxford office shortly after as an Associate in the Trusts, Estates and Tax team. Prior to joining Freeths, after completing a law degree at Cambridge, she worked as a paralegal in a top private client firm in London and then decided to train at a regional private client firm local to her family home in Dorset.

Sofia advises on the full range of estate administration matters, from the initial information gathering stage, through the probate process, to the finalisation of the administration period and the preparation of estate accounts.

Sofia also advises on wills, trusts, succession planning and powers of attorney and has a good amount of experience working on Court of Protection matters.

Sofia has a particular interest in ESG and in finding ways in which we can harness the power of the law to help clients and wider society shape a resilient and sustainable future. She is a member of the Green Group Committee at Freeths and enjoyed working for the ESG advisory department at her previous firm.
