Laura Owens is an experienced Real Estate lawyer with extensive experience of acting for a broad range of clients (both public and private sector) including pension funds, local authorities, educational establishments and governmental departments on all aspects of leasehold work for both landlords and tenants. She specialises in property portfolio management and investment acquisitions and disposals but has also been involved in high profile development schemes.
She also has in-house experience after spending six months on secondment at a multinational telecommunications company prior to qualifying as a lawyer and has experience of negotiating planning documents, including Section 106 Agreements.
- Acting for a developer client on a £44 million site acquisition and student accommodation development in Salford.
- Acting on a £33 million shopping centre share purchase acquisition for a private investment client and acting on other similar shopping centre and office building sales for pension funds and investment clients.
- Management of property portfolios (including shopping centres and business parks), including dealing with all associated lettings and disposals, with a particular focus on assets in the North West.
- Acting for the lender on the refinance of a prominent hotel at Canary Wharf in London.
